Strawberries (and a few vegetables) are now ripe and ready for picking!! I'll be at Shlagel Farms tomorrow when they open at 8:00 am. Come join me or pick your own at any of the farms listed below. Always remember to call just before you leave the house (see Farm list for phone numbers). Happy Picking!
Free Spirit Farm: Called 5/13/11 - Some asparagus available; picking by appointment only.
Harman's Farm Market: Called 5/13/11 - Strawberries now available.
Huber's Farm: Called 5/13/11 - Swiss chard ready for picking; bring your own bag. Strawberry Festival will be on Saturday, May 21 from noon to 5pm.
Mount Airy U-Pick Farm: Called 5/13/11 - Limited strawberry picking on Saturday 5/14/11 8am-noon. Starting 5/16/11 regular hours will be Monday - Saturday, 8am-5pm or until strawberries have all been picked. Price is $1.85/lb.
Shlagel Farms: Called 5/13/11 - Open 8am-7pm daily for strawberries. Picking is excellent.
