Butler's Orchard: Open Friday 5/20 for strawberries -- picking is scattered. Check recording for picking on Saturday. PYO peonies are now available.

Homestead Farm: Strawberries available for $2.29/lb. Open Saturday, 5/21 9:00 am to 5:00 pm. It's the beginning of the season, so picking may be scattered.

Huber's Farm: Strawberry Festival this weekend from noon to 5:00 pm, but PYO strawberries not yet available. Daily 9:00 am - 5:00 pm, you can pick sugar snap peas, cilantro, spring onions, arrugula, Swiss chard and dill. Bring your own container!

Mount Airy U-Pick Farm: Strawberries available for $1.80/lb. Open Friday, 5/20 8:00 am-5:00 pm; Saturday, 5/21 8:00 am-noon, unless picked out sooner. Always call right before for latest information! No credit cards accepted.

Shlagel Farms: Strawberries available daily 8:00 am - 7:00 pm ($2.75/lb).

Wright's Market: Strawberries available daily 8:30 am - 7:00 pm ($1.75/quart).

2011 Season Has Begun!

Strawberries (and a few vegetables) are now ripe and ready for picking!! I'll be at Shlagel Farms tomorrow when they open at 8:00 am. Come join me or pick your own at any of the farms listed below. Free Spirit Farm: Called 5/13/11 - Some asparagus available; picking by appointment only.

Harman's Farm Market: Called 5/13/11 - Strawberries now available.

Huber's Farm: Called 5/13/11 - Swiss chard ready for picking; bring your own bag. Strawberry Festival will be on Saturday, May 21 from noon to 5pm.

Mount Airy U-Pick Farm: Called 5/13/11 - Limited strawberry picking on Saturday 5/14/11 8am-noon. Starting 5/16/11 regular hours will be Monday - Saturday, 8am-5pm or until strawberries have all been picked. Price is $1.85/lb.

Shlagel Farms: Called 5/13/11 - Open 8am-7pm daily for strawberries. Picking is excellent.
